Ecne
Open SourceAn R1CS constraint verification tool that checks circom circuits for under-constrained outputs, originating from the 0xPARC community.
About
Ecne is a tool written by Franklyn Wang (developed within the 0xPARC community) that analyzes R1CS constraint systems to verify that outputs are uniquely determined by inputs, catching under-constrained circom circuits without requiring manual specifications. It propagates known-uniqueness facts through the constraint system and was notably used to help verify circuits in early ZK infrastructure projects. It is research-grade software and less actively maintained than commercial alternatives, but it remains a useful reference for the constraint-verification approach.
