About

snarkjs is the iden3-maintained JavaScript and WebAssembly toolkit for generating and verifying zk-SNARK proofs from circom-compiled circuits. It implements Groth16, PLONK, and FFLONK, handles powers-of-tau and phase-2 trusted setup ceremonies, and can export Solidity verifier contracts. Because it sits at the end of the circom pipeline, mistakes in setup ceremonies or verifier export are a real-world attack surface, making it security-relevant for any circom-based protocol. It runs in Node.js and the browser, which has made it the default proving stack for many production ZK applications.
