Plonky2
Open SourcePolygon Zero's recursive SNARK framework combining PLONK with FRI for fast recursion over the Goldilocks field.
About
Plonky2 is a Rust proving framework from Polygon Zero (formerly Mir Protocol) that combines PLONK-style arithmetization with FRI-based polynomial commitments, achieving very fast recursive proof composition over the 64-bit Goldilocks field. It requires no trusted setup and was a major step in making recursive proving practical, influencing several zkVM designs. It powers Polygon Zero's zkEVM work and has been used by projects building proof aggregation layers. Its successor, Plonky3, generalizes the design into a modular toolkit.
